The quality and efficiency of the Taiwanese Lonex guns make them the leading edge as M4/M16 series as well as airsoft guns in general. Manufactured with precision and excellent quality control from great materials, these guns offer their users reliable and efficient performance. Thanks to the durability and accessibility of their upgrade and spare parts they are a great choice for someone looking for their first gun as well as for more experienced players!
Lonex M16A3 – A real assault rifle
A gun with a metal receiver – durable, sturdy feeling and with a nice weight!
The gearbox is almost completely assembled from Lonex upgrade parts and is more durable than the Chinese counterparts.
The long barrel guarantees good accuracy – the firm stock keeps the gun steady against your shoulder.
Under the steel sight/carrying handle is a 20 mm sight mount.
Battery space in the stock – has room also for large type batteries! (Note! Tamiya mini connector)
The receiver, outer barrel and practically all the biggest parts of the Lonex M4 series' guns are made of aluminum. The sling mounts and other critical parts are made of steel. The plastic parts, like the pistol grip and stock are made of fiber-reinforced nylon. This kind of nylon composition does not become shiny and slippery like ABS plastic does over time. It is also a bit more flexible and withstands cold temperatures better! Every part has been manufactured with extremely small tolerances, which means that the parts fit together well and the whole gun is very sturdy.
The true advantage of Lonex guns is inside them, within the gearbox. The parts are straight from the manufacturer’s selection of high-quality upgrade parts, which means that the gearbox has already been upgraded to withstand stronger springs. Some of the great things in internals include a gearbox that is reinforced at the front, a full steel teeth piston, steel 8 mm ball bearings and a fixed angle of engagement (AOE). Thanks to the fine-tuned AOE the life-span of the piston and the sector gear are much longer. You can rarely find these features in stock guns, even separately. Other parts worth noticing are 18:1 steel gears which have been CNC machined, a steel spring guide, a selector plate and a POM piston head. On the electrical side, there is a Lonex A5 ferrite motor, which is one of the most powerful ferrite motors on the market. The electricity is conducted by 18 AWG thick teflon wires.
Outside of the gearbox you get a high-quality brass inner barrel with good accuracy, a 70 degree hop-up bucking, and an enhanced rotary hop-up chamber. The nylon hop-up chamber is a copy of the famous ProWin rotary hop-up unit. In this chamber, the axel of the hop-up adjustment wheel is aligned with the barrel, like in G36 or SIG series. This way, the hop-up will not adjust by itself, which is sometimes a problem in the traditional M4 hop-up chambers.
Flash Hi-Cap Magazine
The magazine that comes with the product is a Flash Hi-Cap designed by Lonex. You wind the magazine by pulling the cable at the bottom 5-10 times, which is significantly faster than the traditional hi-cap wheel at the bottom of the magazine which you wind up with your finger! Thanks to the powerful coil spring of the Flash Hi-Cap magazine, it may also feed all the BBs with one charge.
What on earth is AR? (history of the firearm)
AR-10 is a military rifle designed at the end of 1950s. It was originally designed by ArmaLite and uses 7.62 mm cartridges. It was the forerunner of the world-famous M16 rifle which uses a 5.56×45 mm cartridge and is designed by Colt (the civilian version is called AR-15). The AR series’ guns are often referred to as Colt or M4/M16.
Good ergonomics and light aluminum body made the M16 rifle a very good gun and hundreds of variants of the gun have been made this far. After the invention of the Picatinny rail, a removable carrying handle and/or sight mount has been added to practically all M4/M16 series’ guns. Since the introduction of the picatinny rail, the number of accessories has also grown exponentially which can also be seen in the huge number of spare parts meant for airsoft guns as well.
Remember to get a suitable battery and charger
Battery and charger are not included with this gun. To make sure the warranty of your gun is valid, you may use 7.4V LiPo or 8.4V and 9.6V NiCd/NiMH batteries with a maximum capacity of 3100mAh. Using a battery with a higher nominal voltage or capacity voids the warranty.
Are you not sure which battery fits in your gun? Check the nickel battery compatibility table in Tradetech.
Each gun individually tested by us:
The functionality of all our guns is tested and the muzzle velocity measured before shipping. The velocity is measured with a 0.20 g BB and the final muzzle velocity is calculated from the average of five (5) shots. In fact, the muzzle velocities you see in our online shop are approximations reported by the supplier or manufacturer. Thus, the actual muzzle velocity of your gun may differ from the approximation upwards or downwards. However, we always mark the final muzzle velocity on the maintenance and user manual provided with the gun.
